Mission Statement: Educate and Grow

Boulevard Flower Gardens is a third generation family owned and operated Garden Center and Florist serving South Chesterfield, VA. since 1955. Maybelle and George Landa began the humble gardening experience with hopes to create a landmark right off of the Boulevard in Colonial Heights, Virginia. With son Mark and his wife Francine taking the reins back in 1982 - the business quickly diversified with increased perennials, the addition of nursery stock, fresh flowers, annuals and fresh Christmas trees. In 1986, acreage was added for our pick your own Pumpkin Patch. 

The store relocated to Ruffin Mill (on road frontage) in 2007 where we diversified and expanded to over 33,000 square ft of building under cover. Changing gears in 2018, daughters Madison Williams and Casey Landa hopped on board with the growing experience and taking over as third generation owners! At that time we decided a smaller building was a better fit, where we could still sell the same material and have a smaller footprint. We then relocated to the back of our property in August 2018 where we are now located (2120 Ruffin Mill). At this time we added an E-commerce site, expanded our play areas and dived more into social media.

Join us as we continue to strive in maintaining healthy plant material, being active with our community and giving our customers the best advice along the way! We are open year round and we are proud to say we grow over 50% of the plant material we sell on site at BFG. This not only keeps our prices competitive, our selection always rotating and our availability superb. All 4 family members are still active in the business and one of us is always found somewhere at BFG if you'd like to say hello while you're here!
