Camellia sinensis is a hardy evergreen shrub that is probably the most widely grown Camellia in the world traditionally used for caffeinated teas. They are harvested as the leaves emerge beginning in early spring and processed in different ways to create white, green, oolong, and black teas. Reaches 10 to 15 feet tall and 6 to 10 feet wide. Excellent in accent hedges.
